Thomas (Hyungkyun) Kim was born in Korea in 1982 but spent most of his childhood in Hong Kong and Beijing, China. At age 21, he joins the Korean marines looking for new adventures. The two challenging years in the marines armed him with countless unique stories, and solidified his storytelling passion. He went on directing 17 short films in all formats and now he is living in New York, attending NYU Tisch Grad Film.
