“Rice Field” dir. by Eubin Kim (Music Video, 4 min)

Ming Dynasty’s “RICE FIELD” is an introspective song about a woman embarking on an mystical inner journey. In the music video, a memory buried deep in her consciousness is resurrected when she puts herself in a dire circumstance, inspiring her to save herself and her unborn baby.
Eubin Kim is a multi-disciplined freelance art director and video director living in New York City. He has worked at a number of different agencies including McCann Erickson, and Young and Rubicam, working with brands through creative strategy to create thoughtful stories to connect with consumers. His main interest is in exploring creative visual communications and experiences that are independent of and transcend media. His professional experience is in interactive, motion, video, print, and events, and is based on consumer insight–while is personal work is inspired from rediscovering experiences with friends and family from a different perspective. He has recently finished his Masters Degree in Media Studies and Film at the New School University and is working on an interactive project for NBC Universal’s Oxygen Media. Eubin was born and raised in northern New Jersey, among a whole lot of other Koreans. Eubin’s film WITHIN LIMITS screened at the 1st KAFFNY 2007.
